Once the app is downloaded, open the app.  Once you're on the **main app screen**, click the **+** in the top right corner: ![](https://support.blazepos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/IMG_4530-PNG-1.png?width=292&height=632&name=IMG_4530-PNG-1.png) 2. Select the **type of account** you want to use for authentication.  Either **Personal** or **Work** will be fine:![](https://support.blazepos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/IMG_4531-PNG.png?width=303&height=657&name=IMG_4531-PNG.png) 3. The **Microsoft Authenticator** app will then activate your smartphone camera.  **Centre the QR code** shown on the login screen within the **brackets** on your phone screen to scan the code: ![IMG_4534-PNG](https://support.blazepos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/IMG_4534-PNG.png?width=316&height=684&name=IMG_4534-PNG.png) 5. Once the **QR code is scanned**, the Authenticator App finish creating the profile for the merchant portal and **display the 6-digit secure passcode** that you will need to **input to the merchant portal login screen**:![IMG_4535-PNG](https://support.blazepos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/IMG_4535-PNG.png?width=331&height=716&name=IMG_4535-PNG.png) 7.
